Public Service Biography

Sarah Ní Cheallaigh TD was elected to represent the constituency of Corrib-West as an Independent Teachta Dála with an uncompromising commitment to public service integrity and balanced regional development.

In Dáil Éireann, Sarah serves as a prominent member of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Housing, Local Government and Heritage, where she has been a leading national voice scrutinising planning bottlenecks, advocating for accelerated cost-rental construction, and safeguarding rural water infrastructure.

Sarah also serves on the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), ensuring rigorous scrutiny of public expenditure and holding government departments accountable for taxpayer value.

Despite national parliamentary duties, Sarah maintains three weekly constituency advice clinics across Corrib Town, Glencree, and West Coast communities, ensuring direct constituent casework remains at the very center of her mandate.
