Securing targeted funding for affordable purchase and cost-rental schemes across our area. Pushing for revitalisation of vacant above-shop spaces in town centers and eliminating red tape for first-time buyers seeking local authority home loans.

Delivered €4.2M local grant allocation for starter home infrastructural servitization.

Healthcare & Community Wellbeing

Fighting for expanded primary care clinics, reduced wait times for regional hospital diagnostics, and enhanced mental health supports.

Ensuring local communities have accessible health facilities without having to travel hours for basic consultations. Prioritising community-level diagnostics and supporting home-care packages for our aging population.

Tangible Result Delivered:

Supported opening of new primary health care wing with 6 dedicated consulting suites.

Roads, Paths & Public Transport

Securing town bypass funding, active travel greenways, safer pedestrian crossings, and frequent connecting bus services.

Upgrading rural regional roads, resurfacing priority commuter routes, and expanding reliable rural transport routes (Local Link) connecting villages with town centers and train hubs.

Tangible Result Delivered:

Secured accelerated timeline for regional bypass relief road and 3 new pedestrian signals.

Backing local family businesses, farmers, digital hubs for remote workers, and vibrant town centers.

Championing rate relief for small main-street retailers, securing high-speed broadband connection vouchers for rural enterprises, and supporting sustainable family farm livelihoods.

Established regional enterprise mentorship forum connecting 120+ local employers.

Investing in modern classrooms, special education resources, playgrounds, and all-weather community sports pitches.

Supporting our primary and post-primary schools in securing capital development grants, expanding special education (SEN) classrooms, and funding community sports clubs to keep young people active and engaged.

Assisted 8 local clubs in successfully drawing down Sports Capital Programme allocations.
